The Brisbane Festival is a month long event aimed at showcasing the best that Brisbane has to offer. From live music to plays to operas to ballet to laser light shows, you name it, they have it! As proud Brisbanites, we have been trying to immerse ourselves in all that our beautiful river city has to offer. Our first must-do for the festival is the City of Lights show. Set on the beautiful Brisbane River, with the backdrop of our twinkling sky line, the 10 minute laser show, set to strikingly eerie tunes, is the perfect way to capture the spirit of Brisbane. After the show, why not grab a bite to eat around the Cultural Forecourt which is spectacularly adorned with striking white lanterns emblazoned with bright red Chinese characters. Next to the forecourt, is the Courier Mail Spiegeltent where many of the live acts are held, but more on that in future posts!
