The Cobble Stone Tea House

High five to high tea! The person who invented an excuse to leave work a little early in the afternoon to nibble on deliciously tasty sandwiches and scones and delicate pastries and petit fours, should be named a saint.

The Cobble Stone Tea House is a small but cosy, homestyle Tea House unsuspectingly nestled in a small block of shops near New Farm park. Upon entering, you feel as if you have entered Nanna's house and the welcome feeling of family always helps all troubles fade away. A quiet week day visit is a must if you don't want to wait to get a highly coveted weekend spot and want to escape to a peaceful haven after work. The staff that work there are very polite and friendly. Upon presenting us with the amazingly laden 3-tier high tea server, the lovely lady proceeded to describe all the items on the tiers while our mouths watered. With home made treats such as rocky road, a decadent caramel and chocolate ganache cup with biscotti and savoury tarts, it was no wonder that we were barely able to finish all the yummy goodness and had to take home at least half of it!

What makes the Cobble Stone Tea House the perfect high tea location is the fact that all food is prepared on-site every day and made with unique, home-trialled recipes which are both delicious and fresh. Compared to many of its hotel high tea counterparts, which serve up mass-made cakes and pastries, the home-made flavours of Cobble Stone are memorable.  We recommend you make a trip to this Tea House today to try one of Brisbane's BEST high teas!
